Roast Youth Camp Annual Weekend Away, Fri Aug 21st 5pm - Sun Aug 23rd 3pm, 2026
Theme: FYSH Youth Camp 2026 is officially on and the theme is BIG BIBLE QUESTIONS.
We are looking into some big questions that Youth often have, wading through the hard topics, and hearing from a wonderful guest speaker Katie Stringer.
Katie is a High School Scripture Teacher in the inner west. She loves leading a team of youth ministers, uni students, and workers to deliver great SRE classes, lunchtime groups and special seminars to teenagers in public schools.
Katie met Jesus through another teenager (still one of her best friends) after her mum sent her to a local youthgroup in Paddington. She first trusted in Jesus at a youth camp.
Originally from Bronte, Katie loves anything to do with waves and water. She's married to Andrew, who loves building stuff, and together they have three beautiful teenagers. Lucy just finished school and is saving to go to London, Eleanor is in Year 10 at Newtown Performing Arts High School, and William just started Year 7.
Katie and her family love their local church All Soul’s Anglican Church, Leichhardt and have been part of this church family for twelve years.
Katie can't wait to dig into some big questions over this fun weekend together!
What: We will be heading to Port Hacking to welcome our new year 6 Roasties, hear Bible talks, interspersed with food breaks, free time and other organised (and fun) activities.
Why: It will be a great opportunity for us to get away, welcome our new Roast members well, spend some time with each other, have heaps of fun and be inspired to live our lives for Jesus.
Where: The conference will be held at Telford and Skinner Cottage, Port Hacking, Youthworks Conference Centre, an hour south of Maroubra in good traffic.
When: Meet at SJM Church on Friday, 21st Aug at 5pm. We will be driving in leaders' and parents’ cars, departing outside the church. Pick up at Port Hacking Conference Centre on Sunday, 23rd Aug at 1pm, or from SJM at 3pm.
Cost: The early bird cost is $280. This covers accommodation, meals, activities, and subsidies for our leaders. However, this does not include Friday night dinner, so please bring money to stop at McDonald's on the way. The standard ticket price is $299.
